another+48+hrs | Year: 1990 Directed: - Walter Hill Actors/Actresses: - Eddie Murphy as Reggie Hammond - Nick Nolte - Andrew Divoff - Patricia Tallman the boys are back in town they are back. nick nolte and eddie murphy return in this smash hit sequal another 48 hrs. this time around a killer known as the iceman ganza's brother from the first 48 hrs is doing the dirty work and nick nolte is the only cop on the force who thinks he exists. just like before nick and eddie get 2 days to track this guy down. not to many people like this movie,but i thought it was a very good sequal. of course the first is better but this one is very good to. how can you not like it we have a bus that flips over 17 times with eddie murphy in it,eddie murphy holding up another redneck bar,and the ending is very good as well. rated r for strong violence,strong language,and some nudity An unusual bitter Eddie Murphy Some critics feel that this is a far less superior than the original. I strongly disagree. The first one has the edge as far as comedy goes, but I feel the storyline in the sequel is more interesting. It seems like every time you assume something will happen in this movie, it doesn't, or the opposite does. Usually sequel's that are done eight years apart like this are terrible. But because Walter Hill directed this, and because of the great chemistry between Nolte and Murphy, this is an exception. It's kind of odd to see Murphy play a bitter character. In fact the only time Murphy is in a good mood is when he is around girls. His character was far less bitter in the original than in the sequel. I thought Murphy and Nolte played their roles to perfection, as well as the other actors, especially Cherry Ganz, Luther's brother. Ignore all the critics who have a negative opinion about this movie. Better Than The First!
