Cruel Intentions 3 | Year: 2004 Classification: Drama Directed: - Scott Ziehl There's a third? First there was the Cruel Intentions with Sarah Michelle, Ryan, and Reese. Then came prequel Cruel Intentions 2 with two fairly unknown actors. Now there is Cruel Intentions 3. Cruel Intentions 3 is about Cassidy, Jason, and Parker. They love to play games with other people for their own amusement. There is more characters in this film and the sex is more intense. Shot in sunny California instead of New York, helps give the film its own 'feel'. It does a good job of trying to be original. The story is entertaining and definately much better than the second film. I think the reason why its more enjoyable is its a bit more glamerous. It seems to have had a bigger budget and also the people are gorgeous. The film though isn't as good as the first, but that shouldn't come as a suprise. If you enjoyed either Cruel Intentions (1) or Cruel Intentions 2, then I would definately give Cruel Intentions 3 a try. very entertaining i loved this movie and think it is the best out of the trilogy. it is so erptic that even gay guys would enjoy the scenes. Sex. Is. Power. Cruel Intentions 3 is one of the rare direct-to-video sequels that defies the formulaic franchise milking plot devices of other overly exploited series (i.e, the Skulls). The sharp dialogue matches the original film on every level and completely overshadows the mediocrity that was (and is) Cruel Intentions 2. The powerful (though somewhat cliche) theme is that sex is power. There are those who use it, those who abuse it, and those who crave it. Though at times overly risque, the film carries the positive message that abusing sex is self-desructive and at times fatal. Don't get me wrong, this fiml is no allegory for "sex is bad and if you have it you WILL die." It is far from it in fact, objectively chronicalling the downward spiral induced by the characters' juxtapositionally glamorous sexual lifestyles. Would I reccomend buying this film?
