In the eighties he obtained worldwide Fame as a member of the euro Dance disco group Modern Talking. Dieter Bohlen was born on February 7 in Berne 1954 in Germany to Edith and Hans Bohlen. He has a two years younger Brother called Uwe. As a child he already wanted to become a musician and he learned playing Guitar and Keyboards and he started writing songs. In the early seventies he played in bands like Mayfair, Urvogel and Dacapo. It took him many years to get a music contract. Finally, in the late seventies he finally got a contract with a record company and he wrote songs for schlager artists like Bernd ClüKatja Ebstein, Ricky King and Monza. In 1983 he marries Erika Sauerland. They get three children; Mark, Marvin and Marielin. In 1994 they seperate. In 1983 he also met Thomas Anders. A German schlager singer with long brown hair, who was looking like an indian in that time. After producing five singles without succes for Thomas, he thought up during a holliday in Mallorca singing together with Thomas in English. The duo called thmeselves Modern Talking. Modern Talking became the most successful German band of all time with hits like You're My Heart, You're My Soul, Cheri Cheri Lady, Atlantis Is Calling. The secret behind the succes were the very catchy melodies and the high pitched vocals of Dieter. It appeared many years later that the high pitched vocals were mixed in the studio and originated from several other singers. After Modern Talking broke up in 1987, Dieter started the solo Project Blue System. As Blue System Dieter had hits like Under My Skin and Sorry Little Sarah. The music of Blue System sounded similar to Modern Talking. In 1998 Modern Talking were united again. In the nineties Dieter had a relation with the exotic Nadja Ab del Farrag better known as Naddel. Naddel did background vocals in Blue System and also starred in German Television series. In 1996 however Dieter marries the former Miss Germany Verona Feldbusch. After only a couple of weeks the Scandal marriage ended. In the end of the nineties Dieter and Naddel broke up. This was due to his new girlfriend Estefania. Since 2001 They Live together. In 2005 it was announced that Estafania was pregnant. Dieter was also successul as song writer producer for artists like CC Catch and Chris Norman, Bonnie Tyler and more recently Millane Fernandez, Touchénd Isabel. Recently he had a number one in Germany with the song We Have A Dream sung by the finalists of Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar (The german version of Idols). In 2002 he wrote the autobiography Nichts Als Die Wahrheit. This was followed by a second book Hinter Den Kulissen. The first book describes the ups and downs of his life, the second book funny moments of his Life as an artist. Dieter Bohlen is the most successful producer and song writer of Germany of all times. It is claimed that he has sold far more than 100 million records. He is also often appearing on the German Television and in German Gossip Magazines.
