AS A OLD "YOUNG REPUBLICAN" FROM THE CENTRAL VALLEY OF CALIFORNIA I FIND MR. MOORE'S WORK THOUGHTFUL, INCISIVE AND ALBEIT, ANTI-BUSH, EXTEMELY HELPFUL IN ARTICULATING THE OVERALL MISTRUST OF BIG-GOVERNMENT AND BIG-BUSINESS THAT ANY THINKING, RATIONAL AMERICAN SHOULD HAVE OF OUR POLITICANS,EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT! THE LATE SENATOR FROM ARIZONA, BARRY GOLDWATER, ONCE DEFINED A CONSERVATIVE AS PERSON WHO REALIZES THE GOOD AND JUST THINGS IN A SOCIETY AND WORKS TO CHANGE THE THINGS IN A SOCIETY THAT ARE WRONG AND UNJUST...AFTER SEEING MOORE'S FILM, FAHRENHEIT 9/11, I WAS SORRY THERE WASN'T A VOTING BOOTH OUTSIDE THE THEATER...MOORE SHOWS US HOW UNCHECKED POWER CAN CORRUPT, DESTROY A COUNTRY'S SELF-RESPECT AND SINCE OF PURPOSE THROUGH THE POLITICS OF FEAR AND XENOPHOBIC NATIONALISM. MR BUSH AND HIS NEO-CONS HAVE DRIVEN US ALL TO THE EDGE OF MISTRUST AND FEAR AND IF MOORE'S FILM GETS ANYONE TO A VOTING BOX IN NOVEMBER HE'S DONE HIS PART IN MAKING PEOPLE TAKE NOTICE AND RECLAIM THEIR GOVERNMENT BACK FROM AN ADMINSTRATION GONE SO FAR AWAY FROM DEMOCRATIC IDEALS IT SHAMES US ALL...

this film is already of historical importance, being the biggest money making docuemntary in history. BR>the reasons for the film having the opening it did are apparent.BR>the decepetiveness of george w bush, his lies, his militant single minded obsession into going to war with iraq, his ties to middle east oil,his mishandling of the bin ladan situation, the lack of WMDS, the dubious florida results,all of this drove many to the opening of this film.BR>NUMBERS DONT LIE.BR>moore takes the old addage 'stand for something or fall for anything' literally. and refuses be manipulated, to 'fall for just anything' and he courageousely tackled the blatant hypocricy of this ultra right, ultra militant minded adminstration.BR>MOORE IS, in the best sense of the word, A PATRIOT. BR>rejecting the all too common 'backyard syndrome (nothing exists outside of my own backyard)' he simply wont accept the lies of his government. BR>he loves his country too much and wants to help, through his work, to bring about change, which is what a liberal is all about.BR>moore makes no apologies for being a liberal and he wears it, effectively, on his sleeve.BR>like his previous film, 911 tackels heavy issues but moore also does this with a saving grace sense of humour.BR>wether the film help change the november outcome remains of course to be seen. people are fickle and have short term memories and bush is a master of propogandized manipulation.BR>bushs popularity following 911 was predictable. huckleberry hound could have been in charge during 911 and would have been popular. but, now the smoke has cleared and its time for questions.BR>moore does that and indeed gives his view of the answers.BR>bless him

If all the republicans went and saw this movie, most of their outlooks on Bush would probably change. This movie is a great wrapup on the past 4 years with George Bush as a preisident. Although there are some boring and confusing parts in this movie, overall it's the best movie this year.
