Fatal Error | Year: 1999 Classification: Science Fiction Directed: - Armand Mastroianni Hi, I'm a Governmentt Agent; is anyone home ? The title for my review of this turkey says it all. May I say that you, too, dear reader, must watch FATAL ERROR - not just to drink in Ms. Turner's gorgeous countenance, but for the campy, Adam West/Burt Ward style dialogue, i.e., "Hi, I'm a (soon to be damsel-in-distress) / Government Agent; anyone home ?" Purr-fect. Ab-so-lute-ly purr-fect. Your turkey collection just won't be complete without this pheasant. Say it hasn't been a very glad day for you. Well, just click your soles together three times and say, "I HATE my boss! I HATE my boss! I HATE my boss!," pop a nice big bowl of butter popcorn for yourself, grab your favorite soda pop, slide FATAL ERROR into your player, and laugh your buns off. Oh, if by chance you invite your boyfriend over for sodas and such while you both laugh at the movie, just as precautions, I'd A) watch to be sure he doesn't don diver's goggles in the middle of the movie and B) be sure there are no printer or other cables hanging from the joists in your basement. NOW you (and he) can enjoy the movie ((=: DEADLY VIRUS This film is based on a book by Ben Mezrich called "Reaper." As with the film, I found its biggest flaw is the credibility of a computer virus being able to kill humans. Neither the book nor the movie explains just how this deadly computer bug is able to do what it does to humans. A High-Tech Thriller An extremly high-tech computer virus terrorizes a community by turning electrical devices into weapons with a mind of their own. If you've seen and enjoyed movies like "Pulse" and "Ghost in the Machine" then you should enjoy this one.
