The Black Sheep of the Series.

It has been Years Now...that Tommy Jarvis (John Shepherd), now in is Early Twenties and he also Trying to Forget his Unexpected Trouble Pass with the Murderer-Jason Voorhees and also Wanting to Start a New Life at the Remote Santuary. Now, there`s has been Killing all around Him, it`s Seems to be in the Style of the Pass Butcher but Someone could be Serving as a Copycat Killer.
Directed by Danny Steinmann made a fine Suspenseful Slasher Horror Film. Many would Call this the Worst of the Series, because Jason isn`t the Killer in this One. This is Actually, the Most Underrated in the Series. Most Fans of the Friday the 13th Series Hates this One, Expect for the Atmospheric Opening and Closing Sequences. Still, it was a Modest Box Office Hit in Theaters. It`s also quite Different from the Original and the Sequels but It`s Still a Watchable Horror Flick. Corey Feldman has an Cameo in this, as the Young-Tommy Jarvis. DVD's has an terrific anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1) transfer and an good Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono Sound. Watch for also Richard Lineback (Ready to Rumble) and Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (Scooby-Doo) in small parts. Screenplay by David Cohen, Martin Kitrosser (Friday the 13th Part 3-D) & Steinmann. From a story by Cohen & Kitrosser. Grade:B+.

The mask remains the same, only the title is different.

Friday the 13th Part 5: A New Beginning is the second of the two films in the series that did not feature Jason Voorhees as the slaughtering juggernaut. It restarts the series after the mega-hit 'Final Chapter', focusing on the now troubled teenaged Jason killer Tommy Jarvis.
The trauma of hacking the Crystal Lake mass murderer to pieces has understandably kept poor Tommy plagued with vivid hallucinations and uncontrollable violent outbursts. Thus he has been continually moved from one mental health facility to another. As the story begins we find Tommy being relocated to a Troubled Youth Camp near Crystal Lake in the hopes of finally breaking the grip his past has on him. Things take a turn for the worse when, in front of Tommy and the rest of the group, one youth snaps and violently kills another. Suddenly a hockey masked killer prowls the night, slaughtering all unfortunate enough to cross his path. But Jason is dead, so just who is this killer? Could it be that Tommy has finally snapped and become what he tried to destroy?
Calling this entry in the long running slasher series a breath of fresh air would be both overly generous and an outright lie. Danny Steinmann's direction, while uneven and unpolished, is workmanlike. Martin Kitrosser's script tosses a little humor around but does nothing with the mystery premise, focusing entirely on the multiple killings (which are numerous, this entry had the highest body count of the series). Harry Manfredini's famous score, while reorchestrated, remains basically unchanged. It's just another formula feature, albeit one entertaining enough to recommend to the numerous fans of this kind of cinematic junk food.

Jason's back again! Ooops, its not him

In this fifth chapter, Jason Voorhees is taking a rest after his death in Part 4. As we all know he eventually comes back to wreak furthor havoc in Part 6. And he's currently working on Jason X and Freddy Vs. Jason. Well lets go to the review. I'm not a big fan of Roy, the killer in this one. But I give this flick 5 stars because, all of these movies are pure horror classics. The story starts off with Tommy Jarvis (from Part 4) having a day dream about everyone's favorite hockey-masked killer, Jason, returning from the dead. He wakes up, and we sees he's in a van, taking him to a house for mentally-troubled teens. When he gets there he starts hallucinating Jason. Soon after, a killer starts hacking up nearby citizens. It's not Jason though. During the film, we get the standard classic stuff : Nudity, endless harware and plenty of gore! This is just non-stop entertainment! A lot of my fellow-fans of the F13 series, hate this installment for being Jason-less. And I dis-like it for that one element. But everything else is more than a horror fan could want!
