Getting There | Year: 2002 Classification: Feature Film Family Directed: - Steve Purcell (IV) Awesome Olsens I have been a fan of Mary-kate and Ashley's since they were on Full House. I think these girls are great actresses and have a natural chemistry on screen. Their movies (and tv shows) appeal to a wide age group, even though some of the older fans are reluctant to admit they watch them. (Just to let you know, I'm 17). This movie looks like it's going to be cute, and just as fun to watch as the others. Who says that all cute movies can only be about sex and drugs? More power to you girls! Fun and Entertaining Alright, first of all I have to say that I love Mary-Kate and Ashley. They have this awesome personality that makes them pretty hard to hate. Their movies are pretty, well let's just say unrealistic, but they are fun entertainment and little kids love it. Of course, most retired 80-year olds couldn't have afforded tickets to the Winter Olympics or the designer ski clothes the girls wore (Chanel ski goggles for instance), but this movie was nothing but good, clean fun. The cute boys, cute clothes and ever-witty comments made by the cast made for an adorable and thoroughly enjoyable movie. After seeing this movie I will continue to watch Mary-Kate and Ashley and wish them all the success in the world. Although I'm sure they really don't need it since everything they have done since they were two has been successful. They are most likely set for life, but I'm sure they will continue to entertain us for many years and I am ready to be entertained with more fun, clean movies like this one. I'm really disappointed I've loved the Olsen twins since they were on Full house. I never really LOVED any of their movies, but I have to say that I really liked "It Takes Two." Recently their movies have been kind of repetitive- they go to a foreign country and meet two boys. I thought this movie was going to be better, but it wasn't. The whole movie really is about "getting there" and it was the most boring movie I think they've ever made. The boys were surfers, and were portrayed as these mindless idiots. There was a very weak plot, and very little action. It was really stupid how every attempt they made to get to Utah failed. The other thing I didn't like was how once again, mary-Kate and Ashley were living in a fantasy world. They had money to go on planes, buses, cars and other various ways of transportation to get to Utah. Oh, and no chaperones either. Overall, I was really disappointed.
