Goodbye Lover | Year: 1999 Classification: Drama Directed: - Roland Joffé Actors/Actresses: - Mary Louise Parker - Vincent Gallo - Patricia Arquette - Dermot Mulroney More Twists than a Drunk Girl at a Sock Hop Goodbye Lover boasts the talents of Patricia Arquette, Dermot Mulroney, and Ellen DeGeneres in an exciting and twist filled dark comedy. Arquette plays an awesome femme fatale and DeGeneres fills the screen with laughter with her characters cruel and cynical wit. The twists will keep you guessing and "The Sound of Music" adds some great, if dark, comedy to this fun film. Definately worth buying for a fan of dark comedies or people who enjoy twist after twist. Goobye Lover also has neat camera tricks involving mirrors and a wonderful orginal score by John Ottman. Check it out. Surpisingly "Good" I didn't know what to expect from this film besides a fun waste of an hour and fourty five minutes, but how wrong I was! This witty little dark comedy stars Patricia Arquette (Personnally, I've never been a fan), as a sleek and sexy woman who isn't being very faithful. Things happen, people die, and that's where it all begins! If you're thinking to yourself, "How good could a movie be co-starring Ellen DeGeneres?", you are not alone. But you are wrong. For Ellen made the movie for me, and she most likely will for you too! Check it out, let out some sick twisted laughs, and enjoy! THE ELLEN AND RAY SHOW GOODBYE LOVER is a tasty and original film noir featuring incredibly good performances from its entire cast. Director Roland Joffe (Oscar nominated for THE MISSION and THE KILLING FIELDS) puts his tongue in his cheek and helms a story of battling femme fatales.
