I really had trouble rating this movie because its not quite worth 4 stars. more along the lines of 3 1/2. but anyway. jeepers creepers 2 is a good sequal to the first. its not as scary, bloody, or as tense, but its still a cool movie. It starts out as this kid, billy, putting up scarecrows. he relizes something is wrong with one of them, he gets closer, and starts to run when he see's its foot move. then the creeper, aka the scarecrow, jumps off the scarecrow holder and fly's up and then back down and grabs billy and basically starts running off because billys dad and brother start chasing the creeper. Then a team of...i think track players...come along in a bus, singin and such, and the tires get popped by one of the creepers homeade untilsiles! so basically they get stranded and the creeper comes and picks them out one by one. meanwhile back with billy's dad....billy's dad is making some kind of "creeper killer" to get revenge on the creeper for killing his son. there is a little more to the story that you will just have to figure out for your-selfs. I hope this review was helpful! Average mainstream horror After writer/director Victor Salva crafted a surprise hit with the original Jeepers Creepers, a sequel was naturally churned out. Salva returns as writer and director as we find the winged Creeper (Jonathan Breck) stalking a school bus of high school jocks whom he ultimately strands and begins to pick off. Jeepers Creepers 2 has a lot going for it, but it has many qualities and faults that make the film better and worse than it's 2001 predecessor. Ray Wise (who has been in everything from Robocop to Swamp Thing to Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me) is a highlight as a farmer who is hellbent for revenge on the Creeper, and his performance is a highlight. Jeepers Creepers 2 also has quite a few loose ends (setting up for another sequel), and the Creeper isn't as scary as he was in the original film (I had thought that this guy would be the next horror icon like Freddy Kruger or Michael Myers). All that aside, the film has it's share of gore and shocks, and rises above what it could have been. All in all, Jeepers Creepers 2 is a surprisingly solid mainstream horror effort, just like it's predecessor. Great DVD Weak Movie I rented this movie with zero expectations. I didn't think I was going to like it, love it, or hate it. I came out somewhere in the middle. Upon entering the DVD in the player I found it to be one of the most thought out, and fun menus I have ever seen. I browsed through the menus, and watched a couple of the featurettes, and got really excited about the movie. I should not have gotten my hopes up. The first one, which I am not fond of, was way better. This one seemed(I hope so at least) to try and be campy. It failed. It played out like a made for T.V., Sci Fi Channel flick. Pointless scenes of the Creeper looking into the camera and smiling, and teenagers that all of a sudden can see into the past. Poor story telling, and bad acting add up to ONE STAR. The other TWO STARS are for the excellent DVD, which I imagine was put together to make up for a sub-par movie.
