Incredible Action and Unbelievable Cinematography

I was extremely pleased with the many underlying plots in Shark Attack and the overall pacing of the movie.
The navigation menu on the DVD is very cool with real underwater Shark Footage and a pounding musical intro. The DVD transfer is great which adds to the breathtaking beauty of the different locations in which Shark Attack was filmed.
The characters Corinne, played by Jennifer McShane, and Mani, played by Tony Caprari, steal the show. Caprari's humoristic and courage filled performance makes his character a fun one to watch. You know Mani is game for anything and it is fun listening to his comic analysis of each situation that he and Casper Van Dien (Steven McKray) get into.
Jennifer McShane's portrayal of Corrine DeSantis makes this DVD worth buying. Playing a research scientist who experiences an incredible tragedy, (I don't want to give away any of the story) she takes you through an amazing emotional thrill ride. The strength, intelligence and determination of her character as well the caring and inquisitive nature she plays in the movie are wonderful. Her striking beauty and athleticism demonstrated in Shark Attack only compliments her performance.
If you like action, humor and films with a well thought out story and many underlying plot lines, you will definitely enjoy Shark Attack.

This shark needs dentures.

The summer of 1975 and in particular, the release of the movie JAWS changed movie going forever. And how can you recapture that magic? Well, I don't know. Another group of people who don't know would be the creative(?) team behind SHARK ATTACK. This would be the first film in the shark attack genre that... uh...isn't about sharks or shark attacks. Sure, there are a couple attacks, but they are peripheral to the story (something to do with wealthy bad guys using sharks to empty a valuable strip of beachfront.)
The film was done on a small budget and it shows.BR>Ironically, some of the cinematography is luscious! They truly captured some magic in the Ocean in South Africa. With that and some interesting shark stock footage, makes the experience just short of bearable. The actors are either amateur or they phone in the performance.
This film is driven by fistfights and verbal negotiation with an occasional shark fin in the background. The DVD has a full screen transfer to fit a regular television screen. Don't bother watching this on a widescreen. Better yet, don't bother watching this. Followed up by a slightly more exciting sequel...
