A WONDERFUL, WITTY MOVIE

I hadn't even heard of this movie until it was aired on TV a couple of weeks ago. I only watched the last 10 minutes then, but my, what an enthralling 10 minutes! I couldn't wait to find out what happened in the rest of the movie, so i went out and rented it. usually i despise sappy romantic comedies (i.e, Notting Hill, You've Got Mail, etc.) and watch action, horror and spy films instead, but THE CUTTING EDGE is one of the VERY few romantic movies that I enjoy. it's got that great love/hate chemistry between Doug and Kate, the main characters and exciting potrayal of professional figure skating...superbly acted and wonderfully directed. THE CUTTING EDGE is an old fashioned love story (no sex scenes, which is better) that you absolutely cannot miss.

Old Fashioned Romance

Let's hear it for a great "feel-good" movie! Obviously not the type of flick that garners kudos from the critics or at the Oscars (not brooding or avant garde at all). However, the chemistry between the characters played by Moira Kelly and D.B. Sweeney is a treat to behold. This is definitely a wonderful example of the basic "Old Fashioned Romance" genre of movies that builds its characters sufficiently to be believable, has characters that you come to like as the story progresses, centers on a relationship that evolves from animosity to love, and ultimately has an ending that leaves you feeling good. Similar in some aspects to the Anne Heche/Harrison Ford vehicle "6 Days and 7 Nights", Cutting Edge delivers more warmth and ultimately can bring a tear to your eye at the climax even though you know how it is going to end long before it does. Definitely a "Saturday night with your date, some wine, and a bowl of popcorn" classic.

LOVABLE COMEDY

The movie was so great for.. it make me inlove specially to KATE(D.B. SWEENEY. She is so beautiful on that movie.. It is the movie that touch me a lot, the soundtracks of a movie and the story. the couple which they fall inlove with each other are mostly common in the movie, but this movie is such thing that u will touch ur heart.. "TOE PICKS".....!
